Subaru Morishita (Ryota Bando) enjoys wonderful days with his girlfriend of 3 years Miki (Nanase Nishino). They are planning to get married in the near future. One day, Miki leaves a message on their answering machine to meet at the station and go home together. But, Miki dies in an accident. Subaru Morishita goes through an immense sense of loss because of her death. His mother Yoko (Kaho Minami) urges him to return to his hometown in Gifu. There, he meets people who are suffering from the same grief and he gradually comes to acceptance with Miki’s death. Suddenly, Miki appears in front of Subaru Morishita. Is she real or an illusion?
